Futai Engineering Australia Sydney Project - Rail Mobile Spiral Unloader ATXL500B02

    Project Introduction

The cement from the 39,500 DWT bulk carrier docked at the berth is unloaded via the screw conveyor of the ship unloader and transferred through the discharge screw conveyor to the shore-side transfer chute. It is then transported to the storage area via the rear conveying system, with an annual throughput capacity of 1 million tons.
Futai Engineering Australia Sydney Project - Rail Mobile Spiral Unloader ATXL500B01

    Equipment Introduction

The cement is collected by the reclaiming device, then extracted by the reclaiming screw conveyor. A vertical screw conveyor performs the critical height elevation, after which the material is transferred through the horizontal section of the horizontal screw conveyor and finally discharged via the unloader's discharge screw conveyor onto the rear chute conveyor, completing the continuous ship unloading operation.

    Frequently Asked Questions

What is the annual capacity of the Sydney Rail Mobile Spiral Unloader?
The system is designed to handle an annual throughput capacity of 1 million tons of cement.
What size of vessels can this ship unloader accommodate?
The equipment is specifically designed to unload cement from bulk carriers up to 39,500 DWT.
How does the material move from the ship to the shore storage?
Material is extracted by a reclaiming device, lifted by a vertical screw conveyor, moved through a horizontal section, and then discharged via a chute onto a rear conveying system leading to the storage area.
What are the main components of the spiral unloader?
The key components include a reclaiming device, reclaiming screw conveyor, vertical screw conveyor, horizontal screw conveyor, and a discharge screw conveyor.
Is the unloading process continuous or batch-based?
The spiral unloader provides a continuous ship unloading operation, ensuring high efficiency and stable material flow.
Where is this specific engineering project located?
This project is located in Sydney, Australia, as part of Futai Engineering's port infrastructure solutions.
